Carte blanche for illustrating the coffee roasting process in the Goodlife Coffee roastery in Savigny, in the hills of Lausanne.
From selected South-American and African farms to Swiss cups. In 5 days, the fresh coffee beans are going from green to finely roasted, and from raw bags to customized packing and shipping. To align my techniques with this meticulous and artisanal work, I chose to realize this painting only with brushes and white acrylic on blackboards to illustrate the journey and the transformation of these fine-tuned coffee beans.
Special thanks to David Viale and Ian Gray for giving total freedom and trust on how to best illustrate this roasting process.
